On this 11th anniversary we will explore 911 from four unique perspectives, in an attempt to clarify the events, repercussions, misapprehensions, and deeper implications of one of the most important days in modern history.

Judy Wood, Ph.D. is a former professor of mechanical engineering with research interests in experimental stress analysis, structural mechanics, optical methods, deformation analysis, and the materials characterization of biomaterials and composite materials. She is a member of the Society for Experimental Mechanics (SEM), co-founded SEM`s Biological Systems and Materials Division, and currently serves on the SEM Composite Materials Technical Division. Dr. Wood received her * B.S. (Civil Engineering, 1981) (Structural Engineering), * M.S. (Engineering Mechanics (Applied Physics), 1983), and * Ph.D. (Materials Engineering Science, 1992) from the Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia. Her dissertation involved the development of an experimental method to measure thermal stresses in bimaterial joints. She has taught courses including * Experimental Stress Analysis, * Engineering Mechanics, * Mechanics of Materials (Strength of Materials) * Strength of Materials Testing Is this what Eisenhower warned us of? Where did the building go? Figure 1. My intellectual integrity prevents me from calling this a collapse. This is why I have chosen to stand up. My conscience leaves me no other choice. From 1999 to 2006 Dr. Wood has been an assistant professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. Before moving to Clemson she spent three years as a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics at Virginia Tech. One of Dr. Wood`s research interests is biomimicry, or applying the mechanical structures of biological materials to engineering design using engineering materials. Other recent research has investigated the deformation behavior of materials and structures with complex geometries and complex material properties, such as fiber-reinforced composite materials and biological materials. Dr. Wood is an expert in the use of moire interferometry, a full-field optical method that is used in stress analysis, as well as materials characterization and other types of interference. In recent years, Dr. Wood and her students have developed optical systems with various wavelengths and waveguides. Dr. Wood has over 60 technical publications in refereed journals, conference proceedings, and edited monographs and special technical reports. Dr. Wood started to question the events of 9/11 on that same day when what she saw and heard on television was contradictory and appeared to violate the laws of physics. Since that day she has used her knowledge of engineering mechanics to prove that the collapse of the World Trade Center twin towers could not have happened as the American public was told.

Neil Kramer is an English writer, philosopher, and teacher, specializing in the fields of consciousness, metaphysics, and mysticism. Kramer has made a lifelong independent study of philosophy, mystical traditions, religion, inner alchemy, occultism, and esoteric world history. He shares his path of transformation and empowerment in writings, interviews, and lectures, as well as giving one-on-one teachings and group workshops. He is a frequent guest on leading alternative radio and internet shows, enjoying international audiences and enthusiastic support. His work regularly features on cutting-edge web sites, news portals, and popular television networks in the US, UK, Canada and Europe. Kramer has spoken at numerous international conferences and events, including The Beyond Knowledge Conference 2009, The Alternative Research Community Convention 2010, The Transitional Alchemy Tour 2009/10, The Awakening & Transformation Conference 2011, The New Living Expo 2012, and The 2012 Global Transformation Conference. Kramer speaks on many fascinating subjects and is renowned for his unique blend of lucidity, empowerment, and authenticity. He travels widely with his writing and teaching work. He lives in Oregon, USA.

Prof. Eric Larsen, Publisher and Founder, is a native of Minnesota who has lived in New York City since 1971. He taught writing and literature for thirty-five years at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY. He is now retired and devoting himself full time to writing and to The Oliver Arts & Open Press. Up through the 1980s he published fiction, essays, and reviews in numerous magazines, from quarterlies like The South Dakota Review, Prairie Schooner, and The Ohio Review through more general-circulation magazines like Harper`s, The New Republic, and The Nation. His first novel, An American Memory, came out in 1988 and received $5,000 as winner of the Chicago Tribune`s inaugural Heartland Prize for year`s best novel from or about the middle west. In 1992, his second novel, I Am Zoe Handke, was published, like the first, by Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill. His third, The End of the 19th Century, will appear in a new edition from The Oliver Press. His completed fourth novel, The Decline and Fall of the American Nation, will appear at a future date, completing a tetralogy of inter-related novels. After four decades of teaching literature, Larsen is embarked on writing a series of volumes about the "great works." They will appear under the general title of "Great Literature for Regular People." The first volume, Homer Whole: A Reading of the Iliad, appeared from The Oliver Arts & Open Press in 2009.

Adam Engel, Associate Editor, is author of the novel Topiary (2009), the memoir-essays I Hope My Corpse Gives You the Plague: My Life in the Bush Era of Ghosts (2010), and the forthcoming volume of proems, entitled Cella Fantastik. Engel is also the author of The Oliver Arts & Open Press`s Manifesto. Reading that statement will provide not only some idea of the range and depth of Engel`s literary and intellectual achievements so far, but reading it will also provide an eloquent statement of the standards, aims, and ambitions of The Oliver Arts & Open Press itself.
